Ecstatic Dance

Velkomin 📍Reykjavík | Friday August 15th | 7:30PM Beloved community, We welcome you to join us on another magical journey at Ecstatic Dance Iceland @ White Lotus. Luana invites you to a vibrant evening of Ecstatic Dance and deep connection. This is not just a dance, it's an invitation to go deeper, connecting with self, with other, the collective and beyond. 💫 What to Expect: We’ll begin with cacao, opening our hearts and bodies, guiding us into presence. Then, the journey unfolds through Ecstatic Dance: a free-form, sober, and sacred dance floor where bodies moves freely. No experience needed. Just your willingness to move and be moved. 🎶 About the Music: Luana’s sets are a bridge between the ancient and the modern: weaving world music, sacred bass, and afrohouse into a pulsating soundscape that speaks to body & soul. Her dj sets are deeply intentional: tribal, earthy, electronic, and alive, crafted to take you on an inner and outer journey. This is a space to dance your truth, and reconnect with your inner wildness together, in community. 🌀 Come as you are. Leave transformed. ✨ It’s a workout for body, mind and soul ✨ _________ ✨ BENEFITS OF ECSTATIC DANCING: ✨ 🌸 Boosts confidence and self-esteem: As we allow ourselves to move freely, we often experience a boost in self-confidence and self-acceptance. 🌺 Enhances creativity: Free-form dancing stimulates the brain’s creative centers, helping to unlock new ideas, solve problems, and engage in innovative thinking. 🪷 Uninhibited self-expression: Ecstatic dance provides a judgment-free environment where participants can explore their creativity and express themselves fully without fear or restriction. 🍀 Improves mental clarity and focus: The meditative nature of ecstatic dance can quiet the mind, allowing for enhanced concentration and mental clarity. 🌼 Improves flexibility and coordination: The spontaneous movements help enhance balance, flexibility, and coordination as the body is encouraged to move in new ways beyond our day-to-day lifes. 🪻 Feeling of unity: Dancing with others in a group creates a collective experience that fosters a sense of belonging and connection with the community. 🌹 Transcendence and altered states of consciousness: The repetitive and rhythmic nature of the dance can lead to altered states of consciousness, helping participants connect with a higher sense of universal energy. 🌷 Emotional release: Ecstatic dance provides a safe space for releasing stuck emotions, allowing emotional healing. 🌻 Endorphin boost: The vigorous dancing can trigger the release of endorphins, the body's natural mood boosters, leading to feelings of euphoria and relaxation. 🌿 Stress relief and relaxation: The physical release of movement, combined with rhythmic breathing and flowing motion, helps reduce tension and ease muscle tightness. ✨Come in comfortable clothes ✨ ______________ ✨ Cacao ✨ In this journey we will be offering 100% Cacao which will help us feel more comfortable in our bodies and help us drop deeper into our heart space, invoking more trust, more love and stronger connection with ourselves and each other.
