Terms of Service

By accessing and using the Mama Restaurant & White Lotus website, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provisions of this agreement.

When you create an account with us, you must provide accurate and complete information. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

All payments must be made in full at the time of booking or purchase. We accept various payment methods as indicated during checkout. Prices are subject to change without notice.

Cancellation policies vary by service type. Please refer to specific service descriptions for cancellation terms. Refunds are processed according to our refund policy and may take 5–10 business days.

Tribe Membership is a recurring monthly subscription. By subscribing you authorise Mama Reykjavík (operating through Teya / Borgun hf., kt. 510697-2079) to charge the payment card you provide ISK 2,000 per month for as long as your membership is active. Pricing may change with at least 30 days' written notice to your registered email; you may cancel before any price change takes effect.

Each month, on the same calendar day as your initial signup, the next charge will be attempted automatically using the stored card-on-file. If the charge fails, your card remains active during a short grace period (currently up to 7 days) while we retry. After repeated failures, the card transitions to past-due and is voided in your wallet.

Member benefit: as long as your subscription is active, you receive a 20% discount on food and drinks at Mama Reykjavík. The discount is applied at the till by staff after visually verifying your active Tribe Card (in your profile, in the email we sent you, or on Apple/Google Wallet). The discount does not apply to gift cards, retail items, or third-party services.

Cancellation: you may cancel your subscription at any time from your profile page (mama.is/profile/my-tribe-card) or by emailing team@mama.is. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you keep all member benefits until that date and are not charged again. We do not issue refunds for partial months.

Refunds: subscription payments are non-refundable except where required by Icelandic consumer law. If you believe a charge was made in error (for example, after a properly submitted cancellation), email team@mama.is within 14 days and we will investigate and refund any incorrect charges.

We reserve the right to revoke a Tribe Card and end a subscription, with prorated refund of the unused period, if the card is misused (e.g. repeated transfer to another person, fraud).

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy, which also governs your use of the website, to understand our practices regarding the collection and use of your information.

The website and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Mama Restaurant & White Lotus and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

In no event shall Mama Restaurant & White Lotus, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

These Terms shall be interpreted and governed by the laws of Iceland, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days’ notice prior to any new terms taking effect.
